![]() When I got there it was a big problem and they did not want to access the port, they wanted to put it in her arm even though she has a lot of difficulty with veins. I explained to them that my mother had a port that could be accessed easily and I was told that would be no problem. Unfortunately what they told me on the phone did not line up with what they had available for her care when we entered the facility. The place was fairly clean with a very welcoming lobby and a nice outdoor courtyard. They tell you everything you want to hear when you’re scared and don’t know where to go. They allow you to bring your dogs up there for a visit if they have all their shots. The place is centrally located right off of I 30. Because my mother had multiple comorbidities, I’ve always been very hands-on with her care.įirst the good, the person answering the phone was very pleasant. They do not allow you to go in before 10 AM. My mother was there for two weeks and I was there every day from 10 o’clock until six or later. I wanted to find someplace close that had good therapist so I picked this facility because I thought it was a skilled nursing facility as well as a rehabilitation center. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Highland Meadows tries very hard to provide a safe, pleasant place to heal. ![]() The therapies are excellent and one weekend PT told me he works full time at another facility and fills in at several other nursing facilities and none of them even come close to being as good as this place. I truly felt like everyone had my best interest at heart. They are generous with the food, and they receive visitors with open arms. ![]() The issue was addressed by the supervisor. I had one incident that caused an issue when there was a delay in the nurse call button being answered in a timely manner. The personal care staff were very knowledgeable and attentive and there was no one I didn't like. There are specialty nurses for certain needs such as wound care. Except for two days, they visited me every day for 20 days to monitor my progress and made certain the nurses were following their physicians orders. They studied my case and history and made physicians orders that met my special needs and they kept me out of pain so I could heal. The doctor and his assistant are amazing, gentle, with the very best bedside manner I've ever encountered. Highland Meadows was the only one she toured and was impressed with the atmosphere. She said she went to all the facilities in the area and turned around and walked out without further inspection. This facility does not have the smell or atmosphere of a nursing home. Housekeeping came in daily to clean it, floors, bathroom, bedding and surfaces. The room was spaciousness with a lovely view. Oh yeah, it's a bit of a push to keep pace of play (2:04, 2:06, 4:10) with 4 if you're walking and the tee sheet is full.I stayed in this facility for 3 weeks. In general, this is another course where being below the hole is better than being above the hole. Water gobbles up balls right in the approach.īy my count, there are 71 bunkers (some are the British/Scottish sod type, cool but hard), and you'll be forced to carry shots, so it isn't a course for those disliking sand shots or those who aren't prone to carry the ball most of the distance on their shots. #18 would be tough if you're too far left on your tee shot. ![]() #16 has 2 drop zones should you not clear the gaping hazard, 1 near side and 1 far side. There are definitely some holes where it'd be useful to have experience on the course to play it better, like #6 (hard to visualize 1st time), 2nd hardest on the course, but there is a drop zone across the hazard, and #15 with its minefield of bunkers (11). The course is in excellent shape, few leaves too for fall. The check-in was seamless, and the starter was super helpful and friendly. The designer may apparently be the same as for TPC in Berthoud, he did a great job of utilizing the features of the landscape. This is a course I've wanted to play for a while.
